  Just dropping by to say hi, still in the waiting process. Had oncology visit and got the usual answers we already know for now. MD Anderson visit Wednesday and Friday, I will let everyone my choice by next week because I don't have real solid options just yt because nothing is set in stone except no radiation right now, later maybe. We shall see...

SCC left lateral tongue, left neck dissection. 2 nodes positive. 3 All Clear then ITS BACK 8/23/11 Shows 1cm in tongue in CT SCAN, Radial Free Arm Flap with Radical Neck Dissection 9/20/11 , All Nodes Negative, But Tongue Tumor Poorly Differentiated. Awaiting next step in treatment on 10/5/11... RIP Nate 7/28/12

     Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan.  I averaged  about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there.  w  Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube .  Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April. --- Passed away 5/14/14, will be greatly missed by everyone here

I've been thinking of you and checking back daily in the hopes of seeing a post from you.  I had no idea you have been waiting all this time.  It's got to be so hard on you and your family...all of this limbo.  I'm sorry you are going through this.  It's good to see you post again.  I hope you are healing well and feeling better.  You've been through so much.  I am hoping that you get some good news and have peace of mind around your decisions.  Take care and I look forward to hearing from you again soon.

37 y/o fem at Dx (23 wks preg @ dx on 3/16/11) SCC L oral tongue (no risk factors) L partial gloss/MND 3/28/11 @ 25 wks preg T1-2N0M0; no rads/chemo  Tonsillectomy on 8/6/12 +SCC L tonsil T2-3N1M0 (HPV-)  Treated with 35 rads/7 carbo & taxol (Rx ended 10/31/12), but many hospitalizations d/t complications from rx. Various scans since rx ended are NED! Part of genetic study for rare cancers @ MGH. 44 years old now...I wasn't sure I would make it! Hoping for 40 more!

Successful lumpectomy, sentinal nodes clear, RT only-2008 Reconstruction of mandible w fibula free flap-Jan 09. TORS removal of begnin pappiloma from esophagus-2010. Masectomy,rt breast 2013.  Support OCF
