Here is a Washington post article on the recent NIH multimillion dollar study showing that all those Dr Google patients taking Vitamin E to prevent prostate cancer actually increased their risk of getting it

It ends with adjunctive health advice I can believe in

Wow. Both you and your husband are ace researchers. I was impressed with your space age comment on light flashes and now you make this article relevant to OCF. Even though this NIH study was done in 2005, the internet is still full of false promises on vitamin therapy that well meaning people forward me. Thanks for documenting that NIH found [quote]a large randomized study of patients treated with radiation therapy for head and neck cancer found that vitamin E supplements did not prevent the occurrence of second primary tumors and may be associated with an increased risk of cancer recurrence.[/quote]

Thanks, Charm. When we discussed supplement's with my husband's MO, he said that the problem was the supplements could also help the cancer.
