Susan did it again!!!! She worked her butt off and with the help of a few dedicated volunteers, they created a wonderful event today. There was even a surprise guest, Cathi came all the way from Colorado to attend the walk. It was so nice to meet Jodi (Susan Cotten's sister)and Ann with her family. I had a good time talking with Jerry, Katie and Suemarie and I got to meet many new friends too. Luckily the weather held out. Even with it being a cloudy overcast day that looked like rain any minute, there still were about 150 people who attended. Everyone enjoyed themselves. What a perfect way to honor David's memory!

Great job Susan!!!!!

A little late, but never too late to say what a great event it was. Christine was a fabulous speaker. So nice to meet Ann, Lori and Cathi. Old friends Christine and Suemarie...it was great catching up with you.

I brought all my pictures collected over the years and you were all there with us in spirit.

I do have to take credit for my anti-rain dance working so well. Since I have retired, I walk every day. But that walk, was more than I usually do. Keeping up with Ann's 21 year old son was tough, but I did it.

A special thank you to those that sent me checks and donated through OCF.

Great job, as usual, Susan. You, Harry and your family are awesome.

Jerry

Retired Dentist, 59 years old at diagnosis. SCC of the left lateral border of the tongue (Stage I). Partial glossectomy and 30 nodes removed, 4/6/05. Nodes all clear. No chemo no radiation 18 year survivor.

I can't tell you all how much FUN it was to surprise Susan and Christine!! What an event! Got to ride in a police car with Susan's mom!! LOL!! Wish we had a picture! I was in the front and she was in the back!! LOL!! Both Susan and her mom are just awesome!! And look on Facebook as there is now a picture of me in my Tshirt from our Colorado walk signed by all of my doctors! I am now going to frame it!! This is such an amazing group of people and if it wasn't for cancer, I wouldn't have you in my life! Looking at the bright side of things!!!

I was very upset that I had to work and miss the event but I am extremely happy that my sister Ann stepped out of her shell and came out to meet you guys. Having her come home and tell me about the great people she met(which I always knew you guys were) and the amazing time she had made my day. Susan you did an awesome job and I really really hope I can make next years.
