final week of tx. unbelievable journey. another 103 temp and another er visit but this time the regional hospital kept him for potential pneumonia, which became a nail biter as treatment days got skipped (we travel daily for treatment and could not take him or get a transfer.) watched him decline physically and emotionally as they treated him with limited knowledge of his condition. a social worker even suggested that "we just do his treatment there" !! and even after explaining to her why that was not possible she still did not understand.

i suspected no bacterial pneumonia. correct. they discharged him with arythromycin, his RO almost laughed at that. i could not get him released or transferred as the CCC had no bed and the local hospital would not release him, a very frustrating 48 hours.

back on final week of rads. his RO stepped in to advise us they reviewed his film from the scope, and that there is no sign of his BOT tumor. we are cautiously jubilant while he is too spiraled down to really grasp this, which is heartbreaking. so hoping he comes back to us soon!

That's great about the tumor!! Hugs! And he'll feel better soon once the antibiotics kick in - usually 3 days! Take care!

Caco, your dad will be fine as the tumor is gone and he just has to recover. Take good care of yourself, you have been doing your best.
