Radiation Onco had him admitted to hospital for supportive care even though dad was moderately better compared to last week. However, RO seems to be concerned with Oral mucositis and infection, reduced intake, loss of hearing and pain. He said the treatment will continue but while in hospital for next 3 days.
Treatment hopefully end on 21st Sept. Fingers crossed for week ahead. Father; 67 yrs; RIP: 2012/05/26

I had great care and they were awesome at keeping the pain under control and I was getting the proper amount of nutrients. By them time I left I was feeling like a new person. I still had a week left of rads when I got out, but I sailed right through them after being told the best way to get the pain under control. Will say a prayer for your dad.

Eshwar, you get some quality rest what others are caring for your dad so you will be in good shape for the after treatment care!

Due to room unavailability, my dad was put in Day Care and on the medications prescribed by the MO. By evening, his blood sugar levels shot up to 400 and he had to be given Insulin to control it. I believe doctor has put him on some steroid that is causing elevated sugar levels.
Anyways, dad slept well and had is 26th Radiation cycle today. Just 4 more radiation days! Father; 67 yrs; RIP: 2012/05/26
