his mucus is bright green and extremey thick, they took 3 jars fluid off his lungs 2 days ago........
encologist wants to start him back up on chemo tomorrow....it just seems he has so much against him that I cannot see how this will help him? it seems like too much for his lungs to take? He also has COPD, asthma and allergies....
dr came in at midnight to see him so we do not know how blunt he was with him....maybe he told him this is his only chance? That i dont know....
Anyhow has anyone gone thru pneumonia and chemo at same time? thanks for all help

The poor man has been thru so much. Maybe the hospital is him medications to make him more comfortable. When someone's immune system is compromised and their white counts are very low, they can be given shots to boost it back up. Im not sure what the medication is called, I was given these shots once and felt immediately better.
I hope your FIL improves a little more every day.
