Her screen name on here is Carol L. It is with a very heavy heart that I am sharing some very sad news. This lovely lady has recently passed away. Carol leaves behind a husband and twins who were in their early 20s. Here is what her beautiful, devoted daughter posted...... Thank you everyone for the continued prayers and support. My Mom passed away this evening (Saturday, Aug 27th) peacefully after fighting cancer for so long (over 9 years). The strength and resilience she showed throughout every battle was amazing and inspiring. I love my mom and am so proud and honored to of had a mom like her. Here is the link to Carol's profile. You can read some of her posts. Sadly, Carol had a very big surgery in Feb 2011 which she never fully recovered from. May my dear friend rest in peace. When the obituary is published I hope to add it to this thread. http://oralcancersupport.org/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showprofile&User=1170 ChristineSCC 6/15/07 L chk & by L molar both Stag I, age44 2x cispltn-35 IMRT end 9/27/07 -65 lbs in 2 mo, no caregvr Clear PET 1/08 4/4/08 recur L chk Stag I surg 4/16/08 clr marg 215 HBO dives 3/09 teeth out, trismus 7/2/09 recur, Stg IV 8/24/09 trach, ND, mandiblctmy 3wks medicly inducd coma 2 mo xtended hospital stay, ICU & burn unit PICC line IV antibx 8 mo 10/4/10, 2/14/11 reconst surg OC 3x in 3 years very happy to be alive | | | | | Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 79 Supporting Member (50+ posts) | Supporting Member (50+ posts) Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 79 | Heart broken and overwhelmed with sadness!
