He is in good spirits, but wants to come home of course, maybe tomorrow, we will see, he came home on the 6th day after his first surgery and this one is like a walk in the park to him he says. He was ready to come home the day after! lol I am trying to find out if he has to have another swallow study after this one, they didn't touch the original flap, they built up under it so I don't see why he should, but I'm not a doctor. I want to ask the doc bout HPV, I don't think he has been tested. Never heard a word bout it in any conversations with the docs. Well let me get back to work here, it's been a busy weekend sorry haven't updated til now. Going to call and talk to his nurse here in a bit. He's had wonderful nurses Thank God taking care of him over the holiday weekend.

He's happy cuz he needs to sleep! He's going to his mom's for a couple days to get some sleep before he comes back to my house, my dog will try and lick his face and won't want to stop so he has to be careful.

I agree on the sleep, plus it should give you a bit of a break!, hugs and take care!

The trach needs to be cleaned daily. That was one part of my after-surgery that I always hated. It was very uncomfortable but it had to be done.
