Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5 | Thank you all for your support! The biopsy came back negative. I am so relieved. My prayers go out to all of you! Before this I was totally unaware of tonsil cancer. It is a terrible disease and you all should be commended for all you are doing to help people who are going through this. God bless all of you and thanks again!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Great news! I am like you, I didn't know anything about oral cancer until my husband's experience. We won't know if he really has it or if he doesn't for another month or so. But, regardless of the outcome, the OCF and the City of Hope (as long as their 2nd opinion is correct) will receive the lion's share of our charitable donations in the future. Those will resume, I hope, as soon as we get a handle on the bills caused by this chapter in our life.
I am forever indebted to Brian Hill and all the kind friends on the forum for helping eventhough what we went through pales in comparison to what so many others have endured. It is a family.

Ex-spouse MISDIAGNOSED with SCC-HN IVa 12/10. Tonsils out 1/11. 4 teeth out 2/11. TX Erbitux x2, IMRT x2 2/11. 2nd opinion-benign BCC-NOT CANCER 3/11. TX stopped 3/11. New doctors 4/11. ENT agrees with 2nd opinion 5/11. ENT scoped him-all clear 7/11. Ordered MRI anyway. MRI 8/22/11 Result-all clear.
