History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma.
14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad.
6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012.
bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia
24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.
1/31/16 passed away peacefully surrounded by family

Julieann Nov 2007 SCC on right tonsil following tonsillectomy. Was smoker, QUIT. (Stage IV T2 N2b) 7 weeks radiation one day/wk chemo (carboplatin and 5-FU). Allergic to Taxol; PEG in, lost 30 lbs. Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,844 | First, let me say thank you all for your well wishes. I'm on the mend, I think, if I can stop being stupid and stubborn for any length of time...
So to spare the details of a very long story...listen to your bodies and pushing them after the experience some of us have had with this disease isn't smart. When it tells you you've gone too far it can be rather harsh. Needless to say I think I have learned my lesson.

Partial Glossectemy end March - margins not clear enough.
While waiting for resection - cancer returned,2 new cancerous lumps
Re-section End May & flap from cheek attatched. Margins clear.
Mid June - 4 teeth out
Mid July -32 Rads and 3 Cisplatin
6th Sept 10 Finished Treatment!!

You are probably right, but my body is pissed at me right now and hit me very hard. In the last week I've lossed about 15lbs of hard earned muscle, am weak, dehydrated and so tired I can't see straight .
This morning I awoke finally feeling "not close to death" and decided to try and help at the pizza shop. I had my first "meal" (ensure and protein ) and started prepping for the day. 3 hours later I was on my back, helped back into the bed I've been in for 7 + days. see...stupid and stubborn. I'm committing to myself, for my families sake, to not push so hard and I know I need help honoring that commitment.
have to be done tonight, very tired.
