Hello old friends,
I have only been lurking here lately. I hope everyone is doing as well as cab be. I am 18 months post tx now and genrally doing very good. Still can not get much of the weight back on but I am able to run, swim, ride and do all the chores around the house, so that is just wonderful. I had a SCC of unknown origin. Hence they really roasted my neck during radiation, a wide field as they say. My voice is permantly froggy, that is OK. The swallowing is still difficult. It is like there is a dead spot on my esphogus.Even water can get stuck. I have had a couple of dilations with marginal improvement Now a gastro thinks it might be nerve damage to the area and wants to test for that. Is any one familiar with theis ...nerve damage effecting swallowing?
Thanks,
Steve
