Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 8 | The PET scan results are in and the good news is that it hasn't metastasized to anywhere beyond the neck lymph nodes. So far for my uncle, the doctors are thinking of a combination of chemo & radiation.Has anybody received the proton radiation therapy for BOT? However, the proton therapy may not be effective for the lymph nodes since it is more site-directed than IMRT. Any thoughts/suggestions?
Uncle (58 yrs); Diagnosed 03/2011; Stage IVA BOT and both lymph nodes in neck
