I left on vacation on the 21st, and at that time I had an appointment already set up with my SO and my RO for this week. SO today RO Friday - the friday I left they hadn't gotten my pathology back. I had considered calling mid week last week but I figured everything will already have been set in motion with regards to whether i will be having radiation or not. Knowing would not really make a difference since I was due to see both specialists this week and will likely start radiation soon after if it's required. Sooo today is the day. Despite the fact that my CT and MRI were clear in January I know there is a possibility that something may have been found in my nodes... So I'm just asking for a few best wishes and fingers and toes crossed, that whatever news I get won't be too detrimental ... take care all of you - I know I have said it before but you all are amazing and inspiring people. Hugs Cheryl !

Both the SO and RO said I am in a gray area - but because I am young and healthy they want to treat this aggressively - my dr. Also says that at this point he believes I am cured - the radiation and chemo are insurance.- and I am ok with that - they were also talking about a clinical trial... Interesting. So I'm due to start in a few weeks. Not bad news - not good news - pretty much what I expected - for which I am grateful. Thanks all of you for your kindness.

Not the greatest news but I am very happy to hear that your drs want to be aggressive. After all this is an aggressive cancer. Yes radiation will be tough but many have walked that path and came out ok. You got through the first half now to finish. Dont be afraid to ask any questions. There are probably so many you want to ask.
