I had my first appointment today and it appears to be clear.

I have lost 40 lbs so far (11 since treatment ened) so I have to keep my PEG and the dietitian is changing me from Fortisip to another higher protien drink as I don't have much muscle left.

It is still too early for a scan and there is a lot of radiation damage still to my throat and tongue but I am doing very well.

Am feeling really cheerful after this and am cooking my first meal in 3 months (plain beef cassarole), salt taste is back with a vengance.

Just need to get used to the dry mouth now and get stronger.
Love to all
Lynn

Just hang in there Lynn because it will get better. I really turned the corner about a week ago. It is true that you can expect a month recovery per week of treatment.

Just think, like Kevin said, starting to eat better just in time for the holidays.

Remember we are here for you Lynn.

God bless you.
