Hi Kroth, I am so sorry to hear all of this. This can be such a devastating disease. Thank you so much for taking care of him. I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts. Keep comming back we are all here for you!

So very sorry to read this. frown. So young and such a fighter! I know you are amazing for all the help you and your husband have given him. it's tough on us, but sometimes, I think harder for those around us watching us go through it! Caregivers are very special people and we greatly appreciate them. Don't really know what else to say other then you and your family are in my thoughts and hopefully he doesn't suffer and the pain is eased with chemo!!

Trach,ng tube, peg feeding tube
Hemiglossectomy, right side neck dissection, 40 lymph nodes removed. Free-Flap transplant to tongue.
30 rounds IMRT ended July 15,2010

If anyone at all has heard of a case of someone recovering from this stage labeled "terminal cancer", plase post!


Friend and colleague of amazing person diagnosed with oral cancer 3 years ago (tongue). Had recurrence in January 2011, was readmitted to hopsital where he was diagnosed as Stage IV, metastasis to the lung. Tumor in lungs declared "possibly operable" but dicey by specialists at Sloan Kettering.
