My recent biopsy showed no new tumor and no cancer in the lymph node. They can't really tell me why the node got that big but the main thing is that it is clear of cancer! I am very happy indeed! It has been quite a roller coaster ride, with the needle biopsy, MRI,CT Scan again and another surgery, but it has all turned out okay!!
I wish you all the blue skies and sunshine and I pray we all just keep hearing good news!!

Adele,
mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the submandibular gland, 05/06, left neck dissection, gland and tumor removed, intermediate grade, margins negative, 9 lymph nodes negative, no rad, no chemo,
11/07 surgical biopsy of lymph node left neck, no cancer!

Great news Adele! We share your relief and happy feelings. Today hubby had follow up visit with surgeon and learned pathology report of tissue removed during reconstructive surgery Oct. 17/07 is cancer free, also no evidence of recurrence on physical examination. What music to the ears those words are.

It will be wonderful when someday, all the OCF pages are filled with uplifting notes and messages as this page is now, and oral cancer will be conquered once and for all. JaneP smile
P.S. And Brian and Gary and volunteers can retire to some exotic island and RELAX in the knowledge of a "job well done"!
