Just out of curiosity... what do you consider and acceptable time between diagnosis and treatment?

I have been very lucky in that someone has helped me maneuver my way through this whole thing otherwise I suspect it would have been late february before I had even met with a specialist. (diagnosed on the 20th of dec)

I am just curious as to what your experiences have been. I know things are a little different in the states, but I would still like an idea of what you consider a reasonable wait time.

Thanks.

My timeline is in my signature. It was over 2 months and I was "fast-tracked". It just takes a lot of time and labwork, PET scans, MRI's, CT scans, etc.

I was diagnosed on April 23, 2008, first appointment at Dana-Farber May 6, surgery May 19, started radiation 6 weeks later. If I recall, another patient canceled and I got his/her surgical spot which is why it was so quick.

Dana-Farber does a great job coordinating care and doing scans all in the same day. Makes for a much more efficient process.

I am in Toronto. I hope you are going to Princess Margaret, as it is a CCC like the ones in the US.
