HI Liz,

Thanks for your support it means a lot. I fear that once the treatment starts and before the light can be seen, Maggie may dip into despair, she is not mentally strong which is why I wasso pleased that she was taking spiritual comfort from many sources. And altough she can bear a great deal of physical pain, her current problems are incessant and getting worse we have the GP tomorrow morning and I am hoping he will prescribe oramorph or similar for bedtime use so at least Maggie can have relief to sleep. I cannot sleep knowing how restless and uncomfortable Maggie is so it is not just effecting one person's quality of life but I would never suggest that to Maggie, this is not her fault despite her lifestyle choices. Anyway thanks again for keeping us in your thoughts, Alan

Alan,

I am compelled to tell you my heart is touched by your love for your dear wife, Maggie and especially for your faith. Today I pray for you and Maggie that His love will fill your hearts, his wisdom and guidance will direct the medical team to find the best possible treatment for Maggie and that He will provide you with comfort and peace.

From a famous hymn by an Englishman:

"Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
