I saw my ENT this morning. I go the 31st of January to Pittsburgh UPMC to meet with the specialist at 2:30. One more Dr tomorrow and I have a couple of weeks off from Drs . Whew, it's too cold but I fire my car up with the remote and when I get in it is warm, the seats are heated and the radio is on. LOL. That thing will make me lazy. I'll post after I see the Dr at UPMC.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
--- Passed away 5/14/14, will be greatly missed by everyone here

Man, oh man, Jim, I sure hope the guys at Pitt can help you. You could certainly use a break. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. You have a great attitude! Clark and I are home-bound with 18 inches of snow in South Jersey and I shudder at the thought of having to go out and start my car. Your remote car starter is fantastic. Gotta love technology.

Thank you Anita. Yep, the remote is very nice to have in this weather and especially when it is so cold. We dan't have much snow, just what came down a month or so ago. Now they are saying rain thursday. We could use it I guees but sure hope you get the warmth but not the rain. That could really cause a flood in your area by elting all of that snow.

Jim,
I just found out that I now have exposed jaw bone near where my wisdom teeth used to be. The wound specialist is hoping that HBO will take care of it, but what would happen if it doesn't? I am so worried as I really do not want to lose my jaw bone.
You are amazing and strong and I admire you for your strength.

I have no teeth at all because they took them for the treatments I had to have. All I have left is a mouth full of exposed bone from the affects of the Rad burns and scar tissue. I sure hope you can get results from the HBO. I could't finish that because of problems with my ears and pressure even after ear tubes were put in. You are a tough gal and will make it. I have you in my prayers.

Hi, Jim -
Hope the Drs. @ UPMC can help!
btw - I have a remote (installed after market), but I've been having problems with my Saturn Vue that my garage tells me is related to the remote - so I don't use it often. I love it, especially in the winter. I haven't had it taken out, though. Maybe I'll give it another chance.

Happy New Year.
Marlene

Marginal mandibulectomy 6/17/08 resulted in DX of Stage I SCC - gingiva (3 mm) right mandible, buccal side. Clear margins. Occasional social drinker. Smoked last cigarette in 1979. Clear pet: 12/08; 7/20/09. Yay!
