Hmmm, this has got me abit worried about my case. I seem to remember my ENT telling me my tumor was 15mm deep and I didn't have a neck dissection????

HI, Thanks everyone for your advise. I will certainly get a second opinion.

minniemoo, Are you sure your doc said that your tumor was 15mm DEEP, not 15mm in diameter? 15 mm is little more than half an inch.
I think usually 15mm (1.5 cm) diameter tumor would be considered small enough not to require neck dissection.

12/2/10 Biopsy Tongue left near wisdom tooth.
DX Stage I Cancer. Partial left Glosectamy removed Tumor, diameter 2cm, depth >4mm.
12/3/10 CT neck and Chest: Negative. cDX: T1N0M0
1/6/11: Panendoscopy+neck dissection (because Tumor depth > 4mm)

t that time was it's nothing and will leave. LOL Thye forgot to tell me wuth a scalpel to do it. Finally had my Surgeon check it when I was getting a sciope for Barretts. Ha had an appt. for me with a good ENT when I woke. Then the ball started to roll in the right direction. I had what I kept telling them cancer but didn't know about OC until then. OFC is where I got and still get my couarage. These people are the world's greatest.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
