#12605 10-22-2007 10:37 AM | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 1,940 "OCF across the pond" Patient Advocate (1000+ posts) | OP "OCF across the pond" Patient Advocate (1000+ posts) Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 1,940 | Had my scan this evening and it was done by the consultant Radiologist,he scanned my throat ,jaw area,neck,and the swelling round my clavicle.He knew what a tizz i had got myself in so rather than have me wait five days for the results, he told me straight away that there is nothing sinister in my neck and the swelling is caused by a damaged ligament!!!!!.
I told the kids when i got back and they freaked at me for not telling them what was happening,but i can live with that,i explained that i couldnt let them worry the way i have seen my Mum worrying over the past ten days and i dare say they will get over it.
To Bren,Donna,Helen,Margaret,Steven,Jerry and Sharlee thanks for the support now i can get back to what i prefer and that is worrying about everyone else!!!!

Donna CG to Mom, dx 4/25/07 with tongue cancer,T3N0,tx began 7/6/07, 31 tx's of IMRT, 8 cycles of Erbitux. Brachytherapy, surgery, left neck dissection and temp trach placed all on 9/17/07, trach removed 10/17/07. ORN of jaw, late effect of radiation symptoms. **lost my beautiful mother on 5/5/11.
