thanks but I think this swelling is related to the surgery (partial neck dissection) rather than the cancer which is now gone. I was hoping for other's experiences of post-surgery swelling. Actually since I posted this it has gone down a lot. I was reading some of the other threads and tried the massage to move the lymphatic fluid around. Seems to have worked. Also took some arnica pills so that may have done the trick too. I'm see a physio therapist tomorrow as well.

Monica, it's terrific that your swelling is going down. I didn't have that problem so can't really advise. But I know others have also benefited from massage so you're on the right track.

So glad to read about the clear margins and nodes!

hmm that's strange- there was another post after my orginal one that is now gone! so my second post doesn't make sense. Whoever replied said that swelling in the neck is cancer so I was just clarifying that in my case it was post surgery stuff! crazy
