Hello all,

My grandfather (64 years old) was recently underwent resection and reconstruction of part of his floor mouth. Doctor is not forthcoming with information, so I don't know exact staging, etc. Tough recovery due to a lot of swelling, his traceostomy, and an infection at a drain site, but now is home. We're waiting for him to heal so we can see what other treatments he needs.

I'm browsing for information on what I can do to help with his recovery.

Cheers!

-Robin

Welcome to OCF, Robin. There is so much info here that will help you. There is a search function both here on the forum and also on the main OCF pages. Hopefully your grandfather is doing even better now. Recovery from big surgeries sometimes can take a very long time. Swelling can take months to subside. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Best of luck to your grandfather in his recovery.
