I do not notice any spots. Do you think the spot could be scar tissue? Its fairly common if she had surgery and radiation to have visible scarring. Recurrances are something we all are scared of.
When you have time please add a signature so its easier for us to help you. How long ago did your mother finish radiation? It really would depend on how long ago she finished treatment to understand better if its something related to the radiation, scar tissue or a recurrance. Is area a sore or just a discoloration? I can just give you very general info, if your mother has a sore that has been there longer than 2 weeks and it isnt one of those blisters from radiation then get it checked out. Im sorry I wasnt able to help you better. Its so hard trying to help over the computer. Had my last rad on Oct 30th. Have been feeling fine but lately noticed similar swelling adjoining where skin graph was placed. Also feeling irregularity in another spot I personally can not see. Anxiously waiting next exam. | | | | Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 7 Administrator, Director of Patient Support Services Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) | Administrator, Director of Patient Support Services Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 7 | Qtip, if you have something that you feel required attention, then call your doc. Dont wait around for the appointment. Its so much better to be seen and make sure everything is alright. Please call the doc.
