He looks so thin and ill and as much as I want him home I know deep down this is for the best. The doctor today has cancelled his chemo (it was his last one) as he is too sick and they do not want to risk him being sick again, does anyone know what affect this could have? going home alone again after his 3 weeks stay for surgery and then getting him back is so awful.

I know that was true for my husband. Everyone would talk about this "light at the end of the tunnel" where he would get better. I'd look at him so thin and tired and it was hard to imagine. But as I type he is getting ready for a full day of work and humming under his breath!!! Hang in there.

If he's like the majority of us he will get worse before he gets better in about 3 weeks or so.

I returned to work Very part time in June, full time in July and I swear I feel better now than I have in years. It might have something to do with losing 25 pounds or a new attitude or a combination. But I feel very good these days.
