Wow maybe you should teach classes on how to go through treatment for cancer without missing a beat. I ended up in ICU for 11 days due to the pain meds.

I have the mask. I named him Ray Beam. See caringbridge.org/visit/randyessex for a picture of Ray wearing the Panama hat I bought to protect me from the sun.
David, the radiation oncologist was more impressed that I'm still eating mostly solid food (eggs, bologna [which I can still taste, oddly enough], corn, and a black bean/guacamole soup my wife devised) than that I am still exercising.

Randy, Stage 3 tonsil SCC, node involvement, HPV-positive. 7 sessions of Taxol-Carboplatin, 35 rads finished 9/8/10. Post-TX PET and CT 12/1 showed "no metabolic evidence of residual or recurrent disease." Yay!

Getting off pain meds this week and going back to work Oct. 11. Still kind of tired as the radiation continues to work and tired of my mouth feeling dirty but otherwise doing well and feeling good.

You must be feeling pretty good to be ready to return to work so soon. You will still see more improvements for the next 2 years. Best of luck with returning to work.

PS Thanks for sharing your caring bridge journal. Great pics smile
