Hi everyone,

I wanted to pass along the blog of a dentist who was recently diagnosed with SCC of the tongue. He first noticed his symptoms last December, but ignored it until his hygienist urged him to get it checked out.

I thought many of you would be interested. Perhaps some of the health practitioners who participate in the forum--both the docs and dentists--might want to reach out to him.

Here is a letter he wrote, urging for regular oral cancer screenings.

Thanks for posting the link to the blog. I intend to contact him tomorrow. I'm sure he would like to hear from a colleague and OC survivor. Maybe he will want to join me in my campaign, once he's finished with his treatment and up to it.

I will introduce him to the OCF, if he doesn't already know about it.
