This morning he woke up with his ear and jaw swollen(same side as neck dissection and radiation tx), nausea and vomiting and a headache. Has anyone experienced this symptom? Could it be cancer tx related or something else? Any advise would be helpful.

I've had a couple of infections in radiated areas and this sounds like it might be Cellulitis or some other type of infection. Get him to a Doctor or Hospital ASAP as he may need to placed onto IV anti-biotics. Both times when I had infections the swollen areas were also very hot and red and I was hospitalised both times.
Good Luck Sue
