Well I was finally able to get medicaid and I went to the ENT today (5/27) the doc didn't think it was anything serious but she could see that I was really concerned so she went ahead and did the biopsy, now I just have to wait 7 to 10 days for the results!

Shannon,

I'm glad that you got the biopsy done and didn't just take her word for it. No one can tell you for sure that something isn't cancer without a biopsy.

7 to 10 days is a long time to get biopsy results and although many have waited that long, I would call her office in 3-4 days to see if the results are back.

Good luck.

Thanks everyone for your support... I'm not sure if the reason for the results taking so long is because of the Holiday weekend or if that is just the time frame they give so just in case it takes longer we don't get freaked out. I plan on calling the ENT's office Tuesday morning. They were suppose set up an appt for me to come back when they get the results but their computers were down so the receptionist said she would call me Thursday afternoon to set up the appt for the results but she never did!

Hope you all are enjoying your Memorial weekend!

Well the Dr office finally called to set up a follow up appt, so I go back to get the results on Tues. June 8th... My husband just joined the National Guard (he is former Navy) and he will be doing his 2 weeks active starting Mon. the 7th so I will be going alone unless I get my sis-in-law to go with me. She is one of the few that know what is going on.

Have a good weekend I will be logging a lot of miles this weekend (abt 1340 miles in 3 days!) going with my son to his bull ridings, starting tonight (2 states and 3 different rodeos... LOL)

Keep us posted, Shannon! I'm hoping your sister in law goes with you. It's always important to have extra ears around. Have fun during your travels:)

Waiting is so hard, but good that you are keeping busy. Waiting on pens and needles with you.

Well I can't sleep cause I am nervous about my appointment... I have also been a little stressed cause the area where she cut the lump off another lump has grown back in the same spot and it happened less than a week after she cut it off!

My son and I had a good weekend going to his bull ridings, the rodeo that was the farthest away (9 hours one way!) he did the best at, he had an 82 point ride and was in 1st place as of Friday night just waiting to get the results for the weekend from the IPRA office to see if he stayed in 1st.
We will do it all again this weekend but this time it will be 3 different rodeos in 3 different states... LOL
I do love the rodeo season smile Plus it keeps my mind off of things!

Will be posting again as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Shannon

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a negative reading.

Sounds like a fun-filled weekend!
