I have a sore on my tongue again that is refusing to go away. I am hoping that I am just being paranoid but this doesn't feel like a canker sore (i've had many of those since my surgery!!!) and doesn't quite look like one either. It feels a little too similar for my liking. I guess we will see what monday brings.....

We can't help being paranoid when something else pops up, especially in the area where trouble was before. But, it's been a while, so hopefully this is nothing bad; you have my prayers and thoughts with you. Let us know.

Although everything bears checking out if it's been there for any length of time (we all know what our comfort zone is as far as what that timeframe is) remember we're all programmed at this point to think the worst. I agree that since it's been a while, be more optimistic. We'll all be thinking about you on Monday - keep us updated.

Since your cancer was caught so early the first time, it seems as though you were pretty proactive about it. I'm sending nothing, but good and happy thoughts your way! Glad you're getting it checked out. I have learned my lesson; when someone tells me that they feel a lump or a bump, I say "Get it checked out!" It's better to be safe than sorry! Good Luck on Monday and let us know how it goes!
Scootersmom, you're too funny with the maglite! That's a good idea. Maybe I'll try that one out:)
Cancer found on left bottom portion of my tongue on March 9th. Non-smoker and light drinker. Tumor removed March 30th. Stage 1. No chemo. No radiation.

Not knowing can make for a very long weekend! I sure hope you walk out of the ENT office on Mon. with good news & this worry lifted off your shoulders. I fell apart & cried my eyes out when I felt a bump in my cheek. Thank goodness all I have left from that ENT visit is a $120 bill ! The bump just disappeared. All my best wishes for a great outcome.
BOT T3N2M0 No surgery, 38radiation treatments,4 chemo rounds, peg removed 11/08, still have a port. Treatments ended 6/20/08. So far, so Good ! "I know God won't give me anything I can't handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much !"

But sometimes you just get a feeling you know? Again I am hoping my feelings are wrong (I have been known to be wrong about things before....just ask my wife about that!!!!!!) but whatever it is we will take whatever comes!!
Thanks for all your support and positive thoughts!!

If it does turn out to be a recurrance, you did it once and can do it again!!!! You were treated with only surgery in 2007 so you have many options available for treatment if it is back.
