Joined: Aug 2009 Posts: 32 | Everything tastes a little sweet compared to before tx. But bacon even slightly sweet is still incredible. I loveeeeee bacon!
I find that I put way too much salt on things but I have to over do it to get any salty taste. I figure it's ok. My blood pressure isn't a major concern.
Dx 8.14.08. 42 at diagnosis. Stage IV Tonsil. Tonsillectomy 8.25.08. Induction chemo (9.29.08) (taxol and carboplatin) 5 weekly treatments. 35 rad and 6 concurrent chemos. Finished 12.22.08. No peg, no port. Neck dissection Feb. 09

Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | My blood pressure is good too but no salt allowed for this 2nd go round with an aortic aneurysm and the chance that BP could go and make the unrepaired lower end of it blow.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

Just read your LIST of accomplishments that I assume you found while packing - I think it's a tie between you and Christine as to who/what all procedures/surgeries you have had. But, like you said, YOU ARE HERE TO TELL ABOUT THEM, which is good.

Julieann Nov 2007 SCC on right tonsil following tonsillectomy. Was smoker, QUIT. (Stage IV T2 N2b) 7 weeks radiation one day/wk chemo (carboplatin and 5-FU). Allergic to Taxol; PEG in, lost 30 lbs. TX completed January 2008. PEG out mid- 2008. PET/CT 1/17/2011;2/3/12 NEGATIVE for cancer  | | |
