EzJim went to OSU for his 2nd opinion on Monday July 30 and the dr told him he thinks his cancer is curable.. well we went and seen a dr on the 31 for pre-op and a dr on the 1st for some issues and then back to OSU on Aug 3 for the big surgery...(we have only been home 2 days out of the last 7 but its all worth it..)of course hes still in the hospital, the dr said 3 to 6 days so we are looking at him coming home mid week..i dont know if you all remember the surgery and treatments and all that they wanted to do at WVU but let me tell you what im sure glad he had his heart set on that 2nd opinion... the dr at OSU went in and removed the tumor from his left of the tongue and some tissue around it and the news was GREAT.... THE MARGINS ARE CLEAR.. smile the dr is pretty sure he has it all out..he did take some lymph nodes from the left neck but seems to think they look good also..( we have to wait 3 weeks tho for the results of the nodes) im just so happy i am beside myself..its like a new start on life and it has brought us all closer together.. his son told every one that there is no other person he would rather have for a step mom then me and the rest all agreed..lol even tho 2 of his kids are older then me and one is younger.. its all good with me.. but let me tell you what, there was nothing better then going to his room after surgery and recovery and hearing him tell me he loved me...it was great..i guess i was just expecting the worst when i would see him for the first time..but to know he didnt need a trach, a feeding tube in the stomache or skin graphs and no intensive care unit.. just a reg room was wonderful.. well i could go on and on.. but i think i better get some needed rest.. Jim will be home soon and i will be here and waiting on him when he gets home from the hospital...I CAN'T WAIT... laugh
