Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | I posted several weeks ago about my =heartbeat sounding like a construction zone. This has started again and that is why I am here at 1:30 AM and not in bed sleeping. This can get on ones nerves with the constant sounds like this. I figure if I can't beat or ignore it, why just lay there and listen. I even hear this thing beating while watching TV when I have it turn on low volume. Must be the air space in my head giving it room to operate. Has anyone else had this happen??
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.

It might be the ear tubes, but go to the doctor and have them check it out. There are all kinds of crazy things that can happen to us, and they might not be even cancer-related. Anyway, go to the doctor, or at least call him/her and report what your symptom is. Okay?

Julieann Nov 2007 SCC on right tonsil following tonsillectomy. Was smoker, QUIT. (Stage IV T2 N2b) 7 weeks radiation one day/wk chemo (carboplatin and 5-FU). Allergic to Taxol; PEG in, lost 30 lbs. TX completed January 2008. PEG out mid- 2008. LOL It has been lower too but this was after I worked out doing 100 reps. Must be gonna make my 100 yrs plus. It seems I lost part of my post Julieann. I saw the DFr about this noise a couple of weeks ago and the one tube is loose. I see him nwxt month and I think he will remove them.
