A friend of a friend was diagnosed with this cancer. I wondered if she would find this forum helpful. Thanks Carol Ann.. Ps. My husband is coming along slowly. The mucous has gone but he continues to eat very small amounts of food because of the taste and the pain in his throat. Currently he is sleeping in a recliner. He looks sick because of his weight loss...Thanks again...

Some lump esophageal in with head and neck cancer. My only reservation would be the amount of support from like persons here since we don't have many esophageal cancer patients here. It's considered more of a gastro-intestinal cancer. Here are some resources: http://www.medhelp.org/HealthTopics/Esophageal.html http://www.onconurse.com/factsheets/esophageal_resource.html http://www.ontopofcancer.org/esophageal_cancer_support_group.php http://www.mskcc.org/mskcc/html/11697.cfm There are many more - just do a Google search.
