Brian

As usual, I logged onto the Pepsi site first thing, and saw OCF still in the running, albeit 159th for March. I will defer to your judgement that the fatigue factor risk to OCF future fund raisers/contests means we need to let this go as a major project. I know this could not have been an easy decision for you to make. While there are arguments that the same fatigue factor affects competitors plus the top two have been eliminated by virtue of winning, more likely than not, OCF would not win in March either. My sense from the outset was that this would have to be a war of attrition with OCF's major chance one of dogged determination. Unfortunately, I think your assessment is right and we just don't have enough EricS or DavidCPA etc to slog it out for four months or so.
At least this will quickly become moot as OCF will be dropped automatically if it stays below the top 100.
I'm going to keep voting daily anyway, but I will not be posting about it, nor will I start new threads on this second chance in deference to your request. It really is nothing to click a link every day and a sad commentary that such a simple request is too much to realistically ask.

At one point we were in the top 20, which is a good sign. I know my network could use a break from the constant messaging etc, so I say we hit it up in the next month or so. Then we hit it with bad intentions...

I wanted to expressly thank EricS for the way he picked up the ball on this and ran with it. I was impressed.
BTW if you go to the Oral Cancer Foundation main web page, the Pepsi Challenge is still figured prominently with a link to vote. I just clicked on it and voted. I discovered this through the link to OCF on a WTCV channel 9 news web site about Roger Ebert & oral cancer that ended with a link to OCF.
Way to go Brian/Megan
UPDATED LATER IN DAY: This news story is now in the OCF news feed, I was up early before California time to refresh the servers

wow, thanks Charm but I figured I owed it since I missed the voting in the last contest. It was really great to see how my friends connected to it and really took up the "cause".

It seems to be that the top winners got there bcause their initial votes were large. If a cause did not get in the top 10 or 20 most people probably did not take the time to look further. Also Pepsi suggested causes after you voted. I wonder how many people we asked to vote were put off by the process.
