It might be time to update the page in Roger Ebert, who has suffered some setbacks but with characteristic courage, openess and humor. I love that he is willing to let people see him as a sick person still doing his job:

Is there any chance we could get him connected to OCF? Although he doesn't have the typical SCC, he does have oral cancer and he is putting a recognizable face on it for many people.

Just do a search for his name here and you'll find the post if you want to contact him. Oral cancer is oral cancer... it does not matter that his is not one of the big ones.

I will definitely sned him email or a letter. I've been a fan of him as a film critic for years but I just love how he's handling his illness very publicly.

I am pasting Brian's last post there below:

Please be polite, supportive of his situation and choices, and articulate how much this disease needs a highly visible spokesperson like him. That OCF is out here, and it will help him channel his strengths to do positive in his realm of influence if he would work with us.
