My D-I-L gave me this recipe and it is very tasty. Great for putting on some pounds. And it is so pretty, very pale green.

1 Frozen ripe banana cut in chunks
1/2 ripe avocado peeled
honey to taste

Place everything in blender. Mixture will be thick. Add water to thin consistency. I have added plain yogurt but it is great as a non-dairy smoothie.

Anita, whenever I try bananas, the acid makes my mouth catch fire. Even with Oatmeal or any cereal. I'm glad it works for you and keep posting recipes.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
