Hi chaps

I hope everyone coped over the Xmas period??? I have two more treatments to go & thinking about my future. I have tried searching & not sure if this is the right place to post my question, so very sorry if its not. I have been told to wear sunblock when the redness goes from my face & was wondering if anyone has found a decent non-greasy variety as being a lady I have a certain amount of vaniety going on! Also has anyone found a good natural foundation??

Many thanks for your help.

P.J.

I found something to use instead of makeup (foundation), and it really works. It's a self tanning lotion and not greasy or anything - makes your face feel good. Also, if you rub this on your face daily after you wash it, it'll keep your face looking like it has makeup (or a tan, but not too dark). It's Clarins, Liquid Bronze Self Tanning. I never wear face makeup any more. This doesn't contain sunblock, however, so you'd have to find that elsewhere. I, too, hope it's okay to answer your posted message here. If not, forgive me everyone. Guess this could be considered as "after effects of radiation issues." (And boy, do I have them!!)

PJ,
i believe alot of the foundations now come with sunblock in them. its just a matter of what SPF you need to have, did the doc say?? do u need heavy protection or just some protection??

this would certainly kill 2 birds with one stone.
hope this helps.

P.J.,

I have been using Natura Bisse Sun Defense Cream SPF 30+ over my moisturizer and under foundation. It has a slight tint and I often do not use anything on top. I have very fair skin and live in a semitropical environment. I do not wear any neckline lower than a crew neck level and there is almost no noticible difference in color of the skin below my neckline. I seldom use a sunscreen on my hands and they are dark. I also use mosturizer with sun protection as well as foundation with protection.
The Natura Bisse is expensive but I have been using the same tube for over a year.

I heard a dermatologist explain that the SPF indicates how long you can be in full sun before your skin begins to be affected. So if you are fair and would start to turn red after 10 min the SPF would mulitiply that time by the number of min. She also said that putting more on would not multiply the length of time. It seems that this is only a daily number. So it seems that all the protecive creams are only short term protection. The best advice is to to avoid direct sun between 10 AM and 2 PM.
