Petey hopes you all are well. I called the ICU tonight and they said, "He wants to talk to you!"
Well....was I surprised!!! He said to tell you all that HE CAN STILL LAUGH BUT IT HURTS!!!!!!!
He probably will be home Friday and will get back on line. I read your posts to him and he LAUGHED!! You guys are THE BEST MEDICINE !!!!!!
Thank you All. He is being well taken care of and every day is better!! He did not have a trach
contrary to first reports! He sounds great.Love and Prayers to you and yours, Petey's sister,

SCC right side BOT/FOM; DX 1-25-06; Neck dissection/25% of tongue removed 2-17-06. Stage 2 Recurrence 7-06: IMRTX35 & 3X Cisplatin ended 10-18-06. Tumor found 03/18/13; Partial Glossectomy 03/28/13 left lateral tongue. Nov. 2014; headaches,lump on left side of throat. Radical Neck Dissection 12-17-14; Tumor into nerves/jugular; Surgery successful, IMRTX30 & 7X Erbotux. Scan 06-03-15; NED! 06-02-16; Mets to left Humerus bone and lesion on lungs-here We go again! Never, Ever Give Up!

Petey, we miss you! Hurry back! We can't wait to hear all about your "adventure." (That's what I call my cancer experience.) I am so thankful that you seem to be weathering this pretty well. I know you have a long road ahead, but each day takes you closer to being healthy again. Yippee! You can do this!!!


Colleen--T-2N0M0 SCC dx'd 12/28/05...Hemi-maxillectomy, partial palatectomy, neck dissection 1/4/06....clear margins, neg. nodes....no radiation, no chemo....Cancer-free at 4 years!

Stella thank you so much for the update. It is so scary when someone disappears from the sight, especially when you know they are sick. I am so glad for this treatment he just recieved. Good luck to your whole family.Talk to you both sooner than later I hope!

Hi Petey,
Glad to hear you are doing well. By now, they must have you doing laps around the corridors. Dont' let there be too much drag on your shoulder. Support it with other arm if walking or a pillow when sitting until neck gets some time to heal. Rumor has it you will get sprung on Friday. It will be good to get home.
