I have not been on antibiotics or anything like that. what would cause me to develop a case. I hope my immune system is not out of whack. Would lack of saliva cause it? I had thrush last year after taking antibiotics and of course during treatment but, aside from that, nothing. I started swishing with 4 drops of tea tree oil in warm water(its a natural anti-fungal). Any advice would be apreciated.

Sounds like the swishing is a good way to start. My personal rule is if something doesn't go away in 2-3 weeks I go to the doc. I hope this passes soon!!

Some say it is a mild case of Thrush. I usually rub a little Vitamin E on the corners and the soreness is gone by the next day. I've been told that excessive dry mouth is a contributing factor in oral Thrush, although I have not yet experienced it inside my mouth since the treatments ended.

I have been out of TX for over 2 years too and the biotene does help keep the moisture up. I wonder if dryness caused the bone to be exposed on my lower right gum? Never thought about that until now. I guess everything is possible in our world.

I started using the diflucan lozenges and they work pretty quick. I also use Five Lac which is more of a probiotic and it goes away as long as I am on it.
