Does anyone else 2+ yrs post Tx ever experience a dry, sore throat during different seasons of the year? I noticed that my throat has been very parched, dry, scratchy and sore the last few weeks. Seems to coincide with lower humidity. If anyone else has this problem, what do you do to help sooth it? I use all the Biotene products and drink plenty of fluids. Nothing seems to help and I am constantly "hacking". Last year I used a cool mist humidifier and it seemed to help a little but it put mold spots all over my ceiling.

I am having this problem too and I blame the sinuses for acting up this time of the year. It seems the mucous is much worse right now too.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
