I'm happy you got a chance to talk to her...how did she seem? I guess she was out of it which is good. I think that is what she wanted...to sleep through this. We all love your mom and have both of you in our prayers. Please let us know how the surgery goes.

Sandy 56, BOT SCC Biopsy 1/21/09 Stage 3, T3NXM0. Finished 3 cycle induction chemotherapy 4/7/09. (Chisplatin, 5-fu and Texotere). Re-staged 4/20/09,(very successful.) Will start Carboplatin/radiation 2 Gy/5 days/7 weeks (Tomotherapy) starting May 4th. Finished 6/22/09. OCF member/supporter

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April. --- Passed away 5/14/14, will be greatly missed by everyone here

I want to add myself to the army of Christine's supporters! What an ordeal. NObody should have to go through so much!
Travis, your mom will be very proud of you. You both have a difficult journey ahead, but supporting each other, you'll both do fine.
Be assured of my prayers for you both. I'll check daily now, for your updates.
