Was Primary caregiver to my mom who had stage IV, SCC, Supraglottic with Mets to 4 nodes. Diagnosed Feb 04, died unexpectedly from complications from treatment December 17, 2004.

Maybe Brian Hill or Davidcpa could get him to help spread the word. He definitely reaches a lot of people. And he knows a lot of "movers and shakers". It is a good survivor story, and he has a sense of humor. Davidcpa, here is the first step to that "talk show guest" you were hoping for. And I'll quote you."Yeah, Brian, I know....Good Luck.

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.

I think that he deserves a few letters from as many of us as possible speaking of OCF and public awareness. His voice is stronger than any of ours.

I was just going to post the link to the story when I saw that Karenmm had alerady done so. Thanks, Karen, and my sympathy to you and your family.
I sent an e-mail to Mr. Ebert through the Chicago Sun Times link above, commending him on his decision to bravely face the public today. I also praised this forum and the OCF. I encourage everyone to do the same.
