Esophageal cancer can have affiliations with OC depending on where in the esophagus it occurs. Close to the top...yes, at the entrance to the stomach..sometimes yes. I would never say no or never as swallowing always involves the oral cavity. Which then empties into the esophagus. I'm sure you will find people here who can offer some advice and opinion about your friend but, for sure she should be seeing an ENT and/or Gastroenterologist, Medical Oncologist (MO)and Radiation Oncologist (RO). How was she diagnosed and by whom? These would be the most important questions I would ask at this point. What is the treatment plan for her? If I can be of assistance please feel free to contact me. My thoughts and prayers are with your friend and you. Cheers, Mike
