So then what are your questions?

So they removed your Primary and did a ND and you are waiting for the path report, correct? How was the SCC diagnosed to begin with?

I assume you have been scheduled for radiation perhaps with concurrent chemo (Cisplatin)?

Ask away

Like everything connected to this cancer, it can take anywhere from on the spot to 3 weeks. The FNA my ENT did on my node took almost 3 weeks and yes it's torture.

Dana - My husband goes to Shands for his check-ups, in fact, is going there on Tuesday. He used to see Dr. Villaret, whom we loved, but he moved to the Carolinas : ( Now we are seeing Dr. Cohen, who has offered some treatments that really seem to be working for my husband. Who do you see?

Husband: 3 SCC gum and cheek cancers 2002, 2005, 2006: surgery only. Scans clear after removal of small, well differentiated, non-invasive cancers. No radiation. 4th SCC lip diagnosed 4/13/07 - in situ, removed in biopsy. More lip removed 2/8/08 - dysplasia. 2 Biopsies 3/17/09 no cancer (lichenoids)

Good luck, Brian. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and Dana. IMHO, being the caregiver is as tough (maybe tougher) than being the patient. My caregiver, my spouse of more than 30 years, was top notch.
