Hello all,

I don't know how many of you remember a member that posted here a few times under the name of Joerx, but he lived in Arkansas like I do. He didn't post a whole lot, but he and I started e-mailing each other - I think he posted back in late August/September. Anyway, I just received word that he passed away earlier this week. I knew he was not doing well and they just never got a handle on his cancer. It had spread to his lungs and liver and just a couple weeks ago, they found a tumor at the base of his brain. They were going to try to radiate that area and started him on Erbitux, but I guess it was just too far gone.

Just thought I would let everyone know - I never met him but felt I knew him. Maybe soon the research will turn up a treatment to swing these outcomes in a better direction. Am sad tonight - please remember his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Pam
