hi

My dad was diagnosed with cancer(head and neck). It was surgically removed, and he underwent radiation and chemotherapy, however there
was a recurrence within 3 months and this time the doctor suggested chemotherapy, for which my dad responded really well and the tumor shrink ed to a small size(25mmX21mm). Doctor then suggested for radiation could cure it. Low dose of radiation was given for 4 weeks (25 days) after which he said he would give brachytheraphy, however after 4 weeks he suggested that my dad couldnot be given any more radiation and the tumor didnot respond well to the radiation given(45gm/25F in Lunac (3D planning). There was some swelling in that area.

We heard about regional chemeotheraphy (RCT) from germany by Dr Karl Reinhad Aigne, can anyone who have used it before tell me if it is effective.

Your help is really appreciated

Regional chemotherapy

In regional chemotherapy, drugs are injected directly into an artery leading to a part of the body containing a tumor. This approach concentrates the dose of chemotherapy reaching the cancer cells. It reduces side effects by limiting the amount reaching the rest of the body.
