It now been 32 days from my last radiation treatment. Have done very well . Although life has changed, I'm feeling part of the world again. I don't have an arid mouth as most people have after treatment, and for that I'm very thankful. I only experience that dry of a mouth occasionally, but the type of saliva must have changed as now foods, such as bread, etc, stick to my teeth. Drinking liquid with my meal doesn't help. I ate an Oriole cookie last night, and it must have taken 20 minutes to get rid of all stuff sticking to my teeth. Anyone have any suggestions.

Initially, I had to go to the bathroom after a meal to rinse out my mouth. It should get better, but you can also select/avoid certain foods. You are probably missing the more sticky saliva. Try heavy cream .... worked for me.

Way to go. Love reading success stories. Have you tried Seltzer water as a rinse? I do know what it feels like sticking to gums, holes in tongue, under tongue and all over the mouth. LOL I have to wash my mouth out about 4 times to get rid on most foods. Then take a finger and scrape the rest of it out from between the cheeks and gums.
