Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 43 | I really do think that a lot of this problem comes from the over abundance of sleep and lying around that I did during TX. It was rough to go from sleeping 18 hours a day to not being able to sleep well at all. I Agree with EricS on this too, the copious amounts of Opioids that we are on also lead to making this problem worse.

Type and stage of cancer:1st - SCC left base of oral tongue non HPV, T3N1M0 hemi-glossectomy 60 node rem, radX35 carboplatnum &Erbitux X6, Peg tube, lost 55 lbs
2nd - SCC right base oral tongue, surgery, Cisplatin & Erbitux x 16
3rd - SCC right base oral tongue, surgery, hope.
