If you google "xerostomia and Naval Medical center" you will get a lot of info.
I think all the H&N patients in my support group who are treated at the Naval Medical Center (referred to as Balboa Naval Medical) get acupuncture as part of their post Tx follow-up.
Several other area cancer centers seem to be starting to offer this.
If you want info, PM me and I will ask the head of our support group to contact you by email. She is a 10 year survivor who receives (or received) acupuncture for her dry mouth.
There are at least four currently active in the support group who are receiving acupuncture (or have received it) and Val can give you all those details.
There was a big discussion at our last month's meeting about needle placement, but I really didn't pay it much attention - ears, fingers .....?? sorry!
